Making my Digipak:

I made my Digi pack on Photoshop, i used two print screens from our music video and edited them, and i also used a photo of Oyinda which i also edited.

Here are the original pictures:

I edited this screen shot of Oyinda from our music video to be the back of my digi pack were the album track list will be, i changed the colour to black and white to show a professional look, and i cropped the background of the picture out i wanted to show our artist in a quirky way, so i changed the contrast to add a bold look, this also shows are artists personality as we wanted her to be quirky and bold. i then added the track list in a pink font and handwriting style as this shows her girly side and then i made the list tilt to also add a quirky look. I then added a bar code some music logo's and a website to make it look professional.

I used this picture of Oyinda as the front cover of my digipack, i like the way her tongue is out as it shows the cheeky character we wanted to portray, i always liked the way her hands were on her hips as this shows her confident personality and her independence we also wanted to show our artist to have these characteristic's. i edited the colour of her top to be pink, to go with the title of our album 'Not so pretty in pink' and i also cropped the picture. I then added the Artist name and album title in a girly font and added a parental advisor sticker as we show are character to swear as part of her cheeky personality.

I used this print screen from our video as the inside of my digipack, i flipped and cropped the picture and then changed the colour so it would fit the rest of my Digipack, i like the way her dress is a dot print as this shows are artists character as quirky and bold and yet girly as she is holding flowers.

Digipack:

I really liked this screen shot from our music video, i was thinking about using it on the back of my Digipack for the track list, i like how the artist is wearing a poker dot dress which shows her quirky but girly character which is also shown through the flower she is holding, I'm going to write the track list on the plain white side to the left of the artist.
I really like how the shot is of a mid-shot just showing her body and not her face, this is different and stands out and appeals to the audience of both men and women.

I really liked this one for the front cover of my digipack, i like how her holding her hips shows attitude and brings out her cheeky character, and if the artist was real not seeing her face shows she's famous enough to not have her shown on the cover, similar to Rhianna's one. I also did this as she is wearing pink and our album is called "Not so pretty in pink"

Artist name:

We was having a discussion over Facebook about our artist's name deciding what would be appropriate for our artists character, and our genre of pop, after much thought we came up with 'Bailey' thanks to Jasmine who happened to be sitting next to a bottle of baileys and thought it would be a good name for our artist, we all agreed and like how it was quirky and original.

here's part of our discussion on Facebook:

Editing:

Today after after school me Oyinda and Jasmine stayed behind to edit our music video, I have been staying behind quite a bit just because i enjoy it so much, However this time we didnt enjoy it so much, we realised we mucked up the timing of our music which put our whole video out of time, we spent so long trying to figure out what we had done to mess it up, we had to edit our whole video so far which was so annoying, in future i think we'll try not to move the music!

Other inspiration:

We was also inspired by Lenka - the show, we used the same setting a park as this video and we also decided to do a shot of our artist sitting on the bench, i think the location is very relateable to our target audience.

We had our artist swearing to add to the attitude and cheekyness of our character and we wanted it to look quirky.

By accident we also happened to get a running man as an extra in our video just like Lenka's:

Other inspiration:

while on our trip at the Richmix theatre in November Peter Fraser used this video as an example of how the objectification of women have changed over the years. We then wanted to use this element in a funny way to outline the message of our song which has a pro - women attitude. Here's how a screen shot of us using it:

Another part of the video which inspired us was the part where the artist is playing on a duke box in the diner, we wanted to recreate this in our music video by using a screen within a screen effect. For our narrative we would have our boy actor watching our artist on the screen:

Audience Feedback:

While Me and Oyinda was editing in the media room today, some of our peers also happened to be in the room and was watching what we had done so far, they was giving us a few of their opinions and some feedback, so we quickly made this video of them, i filmed while Oyinda asked them a few questions on our music video so far, here's what they said:
