This is my magazine Advert, i tried to make it as similar as my digi pack as possible as i wanted to keep a consistent fell trough all the productions, ii started by using the same picture i used for my digi pack as i think it shows the representation we wanted to portray in our artists character, i think she looks really quirky and girlie, i edited the top shes wearing in the picture to a pink colour as this then fits with the colour scheme. I also kept the same font size and composition of the artist name as this then is easily recognised to the audience as it becomes something like a logo. I kept the Font size the same as i liked the large size as i think it is eye catching and stands out.

These are advertisements of Lily Allen's albums... I really like how the first one doesn't have a picture of Lily this shows her to be so famous her audience doesn't have to see her to know who she is! i like the bold pattern and colours show Lily's quirky and loud personality, i would like to create a similar effect in my advertisement, and the second one is much more simple and shows Lily to be more professional and sophisticated, the black and white colour scheme works well and the dates and information is very clear to see. It shows her album which is coming out and the release date. The first one is much more harder to read, perhaps that one is a concert advertisement or a festival as it is much more quirky. Perhaps the styles are just very different because of the type of magazine they were in maybe they were targeted at different audience.

Here are some covers of Lily Allen i have found, i like the way Lily Allen portrays herself in different ways depending on the target audience, each of these magazine covers is aimed at a different group of people, and Lily Allen is shown very differently in each. On the 'Billboard' magazine Lily is shown to "speak out about paparazzi" this is showing Lily as a famous celebrity always being followed by the 'paps' on the cover Lily looks to be shown as someone the audience can relate to, perhaps showing Lily just wants to be normal.
In 'Q' Magazine Lily is portrayed as a "Sexy Beast" showing her with "Wild" animals and a bare back, this is showing her in a seductive way, perhaps the target audience for this magazine is men?
Then 'Sunday' this shows Lily to be very fashionable, in a purple dress with a large gold bangle, maybe the target audience for this magazine is teenage girls, portraying Lily as someone to follow in the fashion world.
Finally 'Spin' magazine, this quirky picture of Lily shows her unique style and out going personality, "Confessions of a reformed party girl" showing Lily as a party animal, again teenage girls can relate? to Lily's bold personality shown through the loud and bright colours age is wearing and big hairstyle.

I have started to look into popular female artists who like Lily Allen are in the pop genre, i have found a few of Rhianna, these are some of the front covers of magazines she has done...
Rhianna has been on the cover of many magazines, i have found, 'Vibe' and 'Billboard'
Although these covers mainly advertise the artist rather than an album they have brought out, artists tend to advertise themselves to be in the public eye when they are bringing out a product this encourages the public to buy their newest product.
Rhianna portrays herself in a good way so the public See's her in a positive light and is therefore more likely to buy her products.

While Oyinda and i were editing we was trying to find ways to enhance the strong beat of the song through our music video, We took element from this video such as the jumpy and quick repetition of small movements and we decided to recreate these in our video. We used this techinique in the beggining of our video with the footsteps and also to fix an error we had made in filming. We did a point of view shot when the male blows glitter to the camera and the reaction shot of the girl receiving the glitter in her face, however the angle in which she recieved the glitter was different to the angle in which the male blew it. so we had to make a few adjustments using the technique. This technique came in handy and looked better than our intial edit.
Here is a screen shot of the part of our music video where we used the same editing technique as rhianna's video:

I have been researching into a typical magazine advert and i have found that certain aspects are commonly used these are known as conventions, the conventions that you would see on a magazine advert are for an album would be the following:
Ratings / opinions / reviews
The band name
Tour date details
Album artwork
Website details
I-tunes/ play.com etc Adverts
Singles (taken from)
Album Name
Record Label
Nominations and awards
I will try and use as many of these conventions in my magazine advert to make it look as professional and real as i can.
