Artist Research:

This Year in media we are making a music video, i am really looking forward to the research and construction of this video;
to start the research i have looked into diffrent music genres, there are many diffrent genres and music types from counrty and classical to heavy metal and pop and many in between, as a group we have decided to go for a indie or pop genre as we generally listen to this music and it is often in the charts.

my group and I then started to look at atrists which fit into our choosen genre,
we choose to look at four or five artists to start with and then decide three which we really like, we choose these artists as we generally like their music and thought we would be able to make a professional looking video.

After looking through videos for our choosen artist we thought it would be better if we choose a song by an artist which doesnt already have a video as people are less likely to be expecting something the artist has done already. We also didnt want to copy a video we just want to use a similar style as the artist.
We have choosen quite famous people and we think choosing a song which hasnt already had a video made will also help our group as people wont compare our video to the one which has already been made.
